Two new options, both delicious and grain-free I highly recommend and have been enjoying are: Banza is made from chickpeas and can purchase from Fresh Direct (less $) or Amazon. The other is Tolerant’s Organic Green Lentil Penne from Amazon. Tolerant has red lentil pastas as well, but have not yet tried. Tolerant is on the pricey side, but if I had to pick one I’d choose Tolerant. I like both chickpeas and lentils and have purchased both multiple times. I don’t think non-gluten/grain-free-ers would be able to tell the difference. More protein and fiber and simple ingredients.
Other gluten and grain-free pasta options previously mentioned:
– Trader Joe’s quinoa brown rice pasta. It’s a great price and tastes great, but it contains grains (more rice vs quinoa) and though I could enjoy once in a while- had to be careful. Plus, there are not TJ’s by everyone.
– Black bean pasta.
– Fresh (you must make) options: zucchini pasta and spaghetti squash pasta 1 and 2.
